We plan and shape learning experiences and activities in partnership with you, to enhance and support your child's development based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS, 2012), to encourage active learning, by thinking critically, through exploration.
These skills help to support your child in working towards the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need to become healthy, learn to stay safe, enjoy and achieve, whilst making a positive contribution to achieve economic well-being.
Children are unique and are encouraged to reach out and relate to people through the Characteristics of Effective Learning, which underpins learning and development across all areas and support the child to remain an effective and motivated learner.

Learning also takes place outside of the Nursery. Children can enjoy a wide variety of trips and outings to the Theatre, Libraries and other places of interest, in which parents are also encouraged to join.

All children at The Willows Day Nursery are taught the value of friendship, honesty, fairness and respect for others. Staff, promote an equal opportunities policy for all children and we celebrate festivals and traditions from many different cultures.
